CHILDREN’S DAY

Children’s Day is celebrated on November 14th in India to honor the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. Nehru, fondly known as “Chacha Nehru,” was a strong advocate for children’s education and well-being. He believed that children are the future of the nation and emphasized the importance of nurturing and educating them.

On this day, schools and educational institutions across the country organize various activities and events, such as cultural programs, competitions, and games, to celebrate and encourage the talents of children. It’s a day filled with joy, laughter, and learning, as children are reminded of their rights and the importance of their role in shaping the future.

Children’s Day is not only a tribute to Nehru’s vision but also a reminder to society to prioritize the welfare and development of children, ensuring they grow up in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
