Effective parenting requires patience, empathy, and consistency, as well as the ability to adapt to the unique needs and personalities of each child. It’s about creating a safe and supportive environment where children can learn, explore, and thrive. While the path of parenting can be demanding, the rewards of seeing your child grow and succeed are immeasurable. It’s a role that shapes not only the future of the child but also the parent, fostering a deep bond and mutual respect.

November – 11 … National Eduational Day

National Education Day is celebrated in India on November 11th each year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Minister of Education in independent India. Azad was a prominent freedom fighter, scholar, and a key architect of modern Indian education. His contributions laid the foundation for the country’s educational system, emphasizing the importance of universal education and the establishment of institutions of higher learning.

The day is marked by various educational institutions across the country organizing seminars, symposia, essay-writing competitions, and other activities to highlight the importance of education and to honor Azad’s legacy. It’s a day to reflect on the progress made in the field of education and to discuss the challenges that still need to be addressed to ensure quality education for all.

National Education Day serves as a reminder of the critical role education plays in the development of individuals and the nation as a whole. It underscores the need for continuous efforts to improve educational standards and to make education accessible to every child in India.

International Day for preventing the exploitation of the environment in war and armed conflict.

The International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict is observed on November 6th each year. This day was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2001 to raise awareness about the environmental damage caused by wars and armed conflicts.

War and conflict often lead to severe environmental degradation, including polluted water sources, scorched forests, and poisoned soils. These impacts can have long-lasting effects on ecosystems and human health. The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has found that over the last 60 years, at least 40% of internal conflicts have been linked to the exploitation of natural resources.

The observance of this day aims to integrate environmental protection into conflict prevention, peacekeeping, and peacebuilding strategies. By doing so, it seeks to ensure that natural resources are preserved and that the environment is protected even in times of conflict.

It’s a crucial reminder that the environment is often an overlooked victim of war, and protecting it is essential for achieving lasting peace and sustainability.

On November 6, in Queen of Angels Public School the students from Adventure group conducted the assembly based on the theme of the day of International Day for preventing the exploitation of the environment in war and armed conflict. Their presentation was so good.
